My wife is professional watercolor artist. She does not care for these brushes and calls them "beginner." I am a beginner and I think she's right because I like them. I can sort of tell the difference between her fancy expensive brushes and these but not enough to make any difference in my dabbling. I give these five stars and she gives them three. Our compromise is 4 stars. Also, they clean up very nicely and I have cheated and used them on construction stuff, like painting wall trim in tight places. She'd have my hide if I did that with her fancy brushes. I think they're a nice set.

Professional product

This brush set is pretty good. I admit I have very high standards when it comes to my brushes. These aren't going to be the same quality as higher end brushes. This is more of a mixed-media kind of pack. They are pretty good and I do like them.

I've been painting with acrylics for a few years, and so far I haven't invested much in brushes. This is the first set I've gotten in a higher price range, and I definitely see a difference. The bristles are just the right softness and pliability and keep their shape (and don't fall out). The handles are well made and very comfortable to hold. Two of the handles are plastic (rather than painted wood like the others) and are straight rather than tapered and have beveled ends. There is a good variety of brush type with this set, too, with a selection of flat and rounded in different sizes, as well as detail brushes of different sizes and lengths. I'm really happy with these so far and have a feeling I'll be bypassing a lot of my older brushes in favor of these.

These brushes use the finest nylon bristles that are perfectly aligned and perfectly shaped, making for precise and smooth application. I am very, very thrilled to have them. I received them for free, which I am very grateful for -- but when I saw their full retail price on Amazon, it was quite high and I would have never been able to afford them on my own.

This paint brush set is exceptional. They are well made of sturdy materials. For the professional or amateur painter these are well worth the price. The bristles are secured and won’t fall out like less expensive brushes. There is a good variety of tip shapes and sizes to meet any paint application need. I highly recommend this great brush set.
