Description

  • Time Saver - solderless, crimpless, all you need is just a heat gun to finish the connection, much faster and easier than the old way.
  • Better Waterproof and Seal Performance - there is two hot melt waterproof adhesive rings in each solder seal connector, which help it hold up better to moisture.
  • Fit for Confined and Narrow Spaces - can be bent after connection and no need to crimp or solder in the confined area, just control the temperature via a heat gun.
  • Easy to Identify - specific color for specific size, easy to pick up for use.

Specification:  Shrinkage ratio: 2:1  Temperature that start to shrink: 80℃  Temperature that solder ring start to melt: 111˚C Temperature that solder ring melt completely:138˚C Note: It means the temperature of surface of the connector, rather than the temperature that the hot air gun should set. Package Include:  1.40 x White Connectors: Diameter 1.7 mm, able cross-section 0.25-0.34 mm²(A.W.G.:26-24);  2.60 x Red Connectors: Diameter 2.7 mm, Cable cross-section 0.5-1.0 mm²(A.W.G.:22-18);  3.50 x Blue Connectors: Diameter 4.5 mm, Cable cross-section 1.5-2.5 mm²(A.W.G.:16-14);  4.20 x Yellow Connectors: Diameter 6.0 mm, Cable cross-section 4.0-6.0 mm²(A.W.G.:12-10). How to use:Step 1: Thread the connector to one of the wires and then twist the two conductor together. Tips: Please make sure the end of the wire that you strip out is nice and clean (shiny). Step 2: Move the connector to the middle of the conductor. Tips: Make sure you strip out the end of the wire long enough for them to overlap one another and stay in the area of the solder sleeve. Step 3: Apply heat to the connector slowly and evenly with a heat gun with reflector nozzle until it melt with the wire. Tips: Some of our customers can use lighter to finish the joint, but for beginner we strongly recommend to use a heat gun with REFLECTOR NOZZLE to heat shrink the connector.

make sure to use a dab of flux and a freshly cut/stripped butt end to avoid oxidization

I saw a facebook post on this and it inspired me to try this out. Indeed it works great! It saves me so much frustration, gives a sturdy connection and works with one or two hands. When soldering a butt end connection, I usually need 4 hands. 2 to hold each wire together, 1 to hold the soldering iron and another to feed the solder. Quite a hassle. I have to get creative with tape or clips. These wire connectors make it easy. I just slip it on one wire, twist the wires together and center the sleeve. A heat gun or lighter gently melts the glue holding the wires together and finally when it gets hot enough the solder flows. If the wires don't hold together, you can always readjust it before the heat shrink/glue bonds permanently. Work from one side to the other. When I soldered in the past I would always get frustrated when the solder doesn't flow where I want it to. I finally found out about oxidation. If the wire ends are oxidized solder doesn't want to wick through the wire. This is not the fault of the wire connectors. Ensure a fresh cut with a newly stripped butt end. This along with a tiny dab of flux ensures perfect soldering every time. The only thing I'm wary of though is that I don't know the long term effect of acid flux sealed inside a waterproof connection. It may corrode over time. I guess one could use an acid free flux or prime the ends first making sure to burn off all the flux before connecting. The good thing about this is that the connectors are clear and colorless allowing for easy spot check of the joint. This is especially useful in awkward spots like under the dash in a vehicle or in tight spaces. You just have to figure out how to direct the heat without impacting surrounding components.

Great for diy projects! Time saver

I was somewhat skeptical about buying this item because of some reviews I read while shopping for solder heat shrink. I must say I am completely satisfied with my purchase. This 170 pc kit comes with a great assortment of different gauge wire heat shrink. Great for DIY projects that require soldering wires together! Real time saver as you solder and heat shrink at the same time. As of now I have no negative feedback on this item. Have used it twice and has worked great both times. I have included pictures on my install. I will say there is some condensation inside but that is completely my fault for using two different gauge wire and a torch. I will definitely recommend using a heat gun! I used a torch for the convenience of not having to run an extension cord for my heat gun but I will for sure use heat gun next time!

They do what they’re supposed to

They do work really well and I’m very pleased but a bit tricky to hold the connection all together with one hand while holding heat gun in the other. The solder holds but takes a good amount of heat to melt it. Great product though, even using them at work when I can.

Great product

Easy to use. I could rate the water resistance yet as it hasn’t rained. I’ll update if there’s an issue.

Heat the solder well

Works well, however be sure to heat the solder very well to a point of visually seeing the solder melt into the wires. Otherwise the you may not get a good bond.

Good connectors

Makes for a clean install! I re-did the aftermarket light harness on my motorcycle because it had a faulty connection. I was able to remove extra wire and didn’t need any soldering tools!

Work as intended

This is the first time I try a product like this to solve an annoying problem and it worked just as intended. Simple to use and good quality

Nice and simple

Quick and simple for basic connections. Still use solder for important wiring though. Could never be too safe.
