Fantastic Light Weight Water Filter That Economical And User Friendly!
Life straws just plain work!! These have been around for at least 10 years and filter out pretty much anything in water from dirt to protozoa and will keep you hydrated in any emergency or camping trip in remote areas. I have several of these and keep them for emergencies for others in my family. Great item to keep in your go bag or car!

Bang for your buck!
Works great! If you’re thinking of going camping any time soon, this is a great and lightweight item to carry. It’s compact, lasts you a long time, and is generally inexpensive. It does its job well, but you do have to suck quite hard to get the water flowing but that’s just the filter doing its job. Easy to use, pretty self-intuitive. Overall, a survival kit must-have!

Make sure to buy multiple packages! You will not regret it.
The media could not be loaded. These come in so handy if you're out on a backpacking trip or a fishing trip or if you're just curious and want to give one a try they are literally Lifesavers and the value for the money is no matter what they can save your life, there are trusted name brand water filter that gives you drinkable water quality, the weight and size are perfect to have in a backpack, a truck, a car, a boat, in a bike pack or whatever. I'm sure you catch my drift the build quality is really good too I have used one of these before just for the sake of seeing if I got sick if I drink some questionable water. I can say with all confidence I did not get sick and in a scenario where there could be an emergency you don't want to be empty-handed when it comes to away to have the ability to drink water and to be safe and knowing your kids would be safe as well and obviously the ability to start a fire in a responsible manner but fire water and shelter are the three most important things in a survival situation. So, Deal or No Deal, Black Friday or Amazon days or whatever buy multiple packs of these so you can give them as gifts or so you can teach your friends and family and kids how to use these as the price point is very fair for something that can literally save your life if you are around a water source and you aren't able to boil it. Hats off to the people who invent this kind of stuff and as an avid Outdoorsman I keep these things in my boat, and my kayak, and my car, and my truck, and in my backpacks and I always make sure my kids have one as well just because!

Great in a pinch
The image is dirty soiled water. Leaves tiny bit of sediment. Tastes fine. Works better as a straw. Not spring water by any means but it's fine.Salt water.... still salty.Gatorade mixed in water turned clear with slight Gatorade flavor. All in all I think if you were around freshwater of any sort this would be beneficial.

Essential, Reliable Water Filtration for Outdoor Adventures
We have found the LifeStraw Personal Water Purifier to be a must-have piece of gear for hiking, camping, travel, and emergency preparedness. Its lightweight, compact design makes it easy to pack, and it’s simple to use—just uncap both ends, dip the straw into your water source, and sip. We appreciate how quickly it provides clean, fresh-tasting water without the need for batteries, chemicals, or complicated setup.Key Benefits:Effective Filtration: Removes 99.999999% of bacteria and 99.999% of parasites and microplastics. The filter’s 0.2-micron membrane exceeds EPA standards for water safety.Long-lasting: Capable of filtering up to 1,000 gallons (4,000 liters), which is enough for one person’s hydration for years of adventures. No Maintenance Hassle: Requires no batteries, power, or pumping—just sip, and you’re done. Blowing air through after use helps keep the filter clean.Lightweight and Durable: Weighs less than 2oz and is built to withstand rugged use, making it effortless to add to any pack.Peace of Mind: Perfect for emergency kits, travel in areas with questionable water quality, or backcountry explorations where clean water isn’t guaranteed.Helpful Tips for Use:Prime Before First Use: Let the bottom end sit in water for about 20 seconds, then take several strong sips to start the flow.Regular Cleaning: After each use, blow air back through the straw to clear out residual water and help prevent clogging.Storage: Keep caps on both ends when not in use, and store the LifeStraw in a cool, dry place. For long-term storage, rinse and follow care directions to maintain performance.Know Its Limits: While the LifeStraw is excellent at removing bacteria and protozoa, it does not remove viruses or chemicals. For heavily polluted or viral-risk areas, consider supplementing with tablets. Our Experience:We’ve used it on backcountry hikes and international trips. The water tasted clean every time, and we never worried about running out when sources were available. It’s incredibly reassuring to know there’s a quick, reliable way to get safe water right from streams, rivers, or puddles without carrying heavy bottles. One Design Note: Since it’s a straw, you need to drink straight from the water source or fill a separate container to use it—a minor tradeoff for the portability and simplicity.Overall Recommendation:We highly recommend the LifeStraw Personal Water Purifier for anyone who spends time outdoors or wants peace of mind in an emergency kit. It’s affordable, dependable, and does exactly what it promises: delivers safe, clean drinking water wherever you go
