I want to get rid of insects & pesky critters naturally.

A lot of old time practices for a lot of old time problems. Some are well known, some not, but written in a short folksy voice that is entertaining. I am not sure every solution works, but they are fun and novel to read. He has a few things for about every situation from mice to moths A lot of the solutions are not store bought or expensive, and most solutions are conveyed in 3 or 4 sentences with a bit of "watch out for consequences" using wit and humor. You will find yourself reading more than the thing you were looking up just because it is entertaining. He puts a few cartoon drawings in for fun as well. My in-laws read ours and wanted one for themselves and another for their friend.

I am a biologist and this book is exactly what I was looking for to keep pests at bay without spreading poison in the environment.I live in the country and therefore many insects and other creatures like frogs, lizards and squirrels feel entitled to try and share my home. I also have pets and I do not want to harm them directly or indirectly. I had a general idea on some remedies but I lacked precision on the amount to be used. This book gave me the answer to that and to many other issues as well.I sincerely recommend it.

1001 All-natural Secrets to a Pest-free PropertyThis book contains a wealth of information on pest control without the use of traps or poisons. I bought my first copy a few years ago and have proved some of the processes (mice and spiders). Have not seen a mouse in two years. Spiders leave when I remember to do the simple treatment. This book order was for one of our daughters (finally decided that the old-folks may know a thing-or-two). Very pleased with the book. Have a nice day. Jim R

1001 All Natural Secrets to a Pest Free Property  I bought this book to educate myself on products to use that would notinterfere with birds, dogs, and wildlife. When you live in the country you will be visited by strange things in the day and night and I want to know what will work to deter them. You will need to do some searching to find the things that might work but right now I think the book is worth the money.

I was a little worried about ordering on December 17, 2009 so close to Christmas, especially since the book I ordered was described as "almost like new".....(right) I have looked for this book everywhere and had no luck at all. I decided to order from Amazon with a company that I had never heard of.... with the mail like it is I was putting all of my hopes in one basket.....But as I said, I couldn't have been happier or more pleasantly surprised! My order was delivered 3 days later and my husband couldn't have been happier with his gift! I would have sworn the book was new, it looked great! Amazon is the BEST!

I mainly got this book for my mom. My parents have a house in the country that sits on like 3 acres of land. She is really big time into gardening and flowers and plants and stuff like that. Being they are both retired she spends a lot of time working in the yard and her greenhouse. I did look thru the book though and found some helpful tips for me to use on my little garden though. So all in all I think it was and will be a worthwhile purchase.

I purchased this book as a gift for my mom for Christmas. This book is loaded with natural ways to keep pests away from your property. If you're like me and you live in the country where mice get into cars and you have stray cats attacking your birds at your bird feeders, this book will tell you how in a lot of cases to keep a lot of pests away without harm to the animal. I paid $49.99 for the book and in my opinion it was well worth it.
