1000 Essential Vocabulary for the JLPT N5 (Trilingue en Japonais - Anglais - Chinois)

What an absolutely great learning tool for Japanese! I bought this to use while travelling as it's a little smaller in size than other textbooks and it's been perfect for reading on the train and in hotels, etc. The red filter that's supplied gives you chance to review what you've learnt and make sure there isn't anything you need to brush up on.I'd highly recommend this for beginner-intermediate level Japanese learners :) ありがとう！

This is a fantastic book, along with the other series. It is divided up into sections and subjects. It has example sentences and phrases, also hiragana and katakana translations. It also has a red film to cover up the page to help you memorise the vocabulary. Moreover it is very well put together to help you with sentence structure.

Good vocabulary book. Furigana is in a bit too small a font and entries - printed in red - don't have strong contrast. If you have issues with vision, you may need good lighting conditions to easily read everything. Otherwise a really nice vocabulary book everybody recommend, me included.

I bought this book to learn one language, not two. The Vietnamese captions are really bothersome, and it takes forever to cover them with correction tape.
