I bought this collar for my aging dog for our vacation just in case he got loose while we were visiting a strange place. It evoked a lot of comments from passersby when were out. We have since returned home and I have continued using it when we are off our property. It is well built and seems like it will last a long time.

My dog is big, dark haired and people are always afraid of him, although he is just a big fur baby. Now that he is deaf, my biggest fear was that he would get out of my yard, and if someone saw him, they would run from him instead of helping him. And he would be lost. Now I'm at ease with this collar and new I'd tagsThe large white collar with bold letters 'deaf dog' on it, is very noticeable and readable! The collar is thick and not at all scratchy.I am super happy with this!

Purchase of the year winner for our household. This collar is easy to read from a distance and perfect if you own a deaf dog. Not only insurance if god forbid our girl got out of the yard but matter where you are with a deaf dog it is important to insure people around are aware. Even our local animal control stopped to tell us what a great collar it was. This is especially important if you are taking a deaf dog somewhere that others will be handling such as the vet to be left for surgery or the groomer, it keeps everyone aware. With our deaf girl I would rather have a collar that is safe and informative than pretty.

Got this for our 3 month old English setter mix pup who is deaf. she's 21lbs with a neck girth of like 11" if I remember correctly. the collar feels very sturdy but when tightened to its smallest size the message isn't as clear. its not really an issue since she will grow into it will be more clear. I just wish they made a smaller size. also when tightened all the way, the nylon wraps around and covers the felt lining so the nylon is rubbing against her neck. again, not an issue as she is growing but helpful for anyone looking to get this for a smaller adult dog.

You should get one for your dog, even if they aren't deaf. That would be funny.

My senior lab Layla is deaf, she lost her hearing from being a hunting dog before I adopted her and I always happen to forget that she cannot hear me anymore. She knows hand signals and everything but having this collar is great for when we are on walks or at the dog park so people know that it’s not that she doesn’t listen, she just can’t hear anyone. She has a habit of being very vocal when she sees other dogs on walks (not in aggression, she just wants them to know she is here!) and at the park I have to keep a sharp eye on her so she can see me. I love this collar!

I bought this for a friend when she adopted a deaf greyhound. He wears it night and day so those who meet him can understand why he doesn't respond to voices.

Have a deaf dog hoping people notice this collar and pay attention. Dogs do have a tendency of getting loose and hoping this helps people to understand. Can’t call back a deaf dog! Well made no issues with the collar .

Collar is great. We had to buy a 2nd one because we left it on the coffee table and she chewed it.

Love the thick collar and the fact it tells you quickly my dog is deaf BUT it absorbs odors terribly. After a few weeks wear the dog smell coming off of it is horrible. Frequent washing changes nothing. It is sitting in my basement, 2 weeks old and not usable
