My c-section was a last minute decision after a long labor. My son was so desperate to eat right afterward but my shakes were so bad I was afraid to hold him to nurse. But I had spent the last few weeks of pregnancy learning to hand-express colostrum for emergencies like this. The nurses were able feed my son several mL while they took his measurements and I got my blood sugar back up. He was able to latch for nursing not long after. I love that these hold more than 1 ml, and the top comes off for a larger opening, so I was able to hand express directly into the silicone.

I have yet to produce enough to use these, but they seem easy and self explanatory

I’m not sure if it’s because I had too much but they were really hard to fill. I tried to pump to induce labor (it didn’t work but I ended up with quite a bit). For me I feel like it was a waste of money it hit the point where I had to fill multiple just for one pump and they aren’t cheap. We just rinse them out and put them in the dishwasher on the very top rack so cleaning them isn’t very difficult. (Picture is just one pump for me)

Used and able to reuse!

In preparation for our child we ordered this several times to make sure that we were able to freeze enough colostrum in case of emergency. They seal well and no leakage on any of them!

These were great for collecting colostrum! It was super easy to suction it out of my pump after expressing it! I also used them to collect straight from the source and it worked great!
