Q: Is it test for lead, radiation and heavy metal?

We understand your concern about heavy metals; we take this issue very seriously and test every batch of our herbs for heavy metal levels. We do not publish heavy metal test results. We ensure the safety of our products and only use herbs that test within the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for heavy metals. We keep our herbs as close to their natural form as possible; as in nature, no two batches are exactly alike due to differences in general climate, rainfall, and geographical location. As plants develop, their roots absorb necessary water and nutrients from the soil in which they grow. Along with these nutrients, heavy metals that are naturally occurring in the soil and Earth, or introduced by pollution, can be taken up by the plant. Q: Why is the color so dark, reddish-brown? Isn’t Ceylon cinnamon supposed to be tan?

The color doesn’t look darker to me than the very fresh Ceylon cinnamon in my Simply Organic spice jar. The slight reddish cast of the Organic India capsules may be an illusion caused by reflected light via the capsules. I haven’t opened a capsule to compare its color with the loose powder. If you’re concerned about the reddish color casting doubt on the authenticity of Organic India’s Ceylon cinnamon you should ask the manufacturer.
