You want to BBQ but you don't want to light charcoal so you use your gas BBQ, well, thats not the case once you have this beauty. It does the job really well. I use it for flat bbq pit for turkish kababs as well as my kamado and it lights the coal in under a minute.Only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the ignitor could be better, its not place ergonomically as well as its a bit iffy. If the flow from cylinder is too much it won't light. Also it becomes a multi step process1) turn the gas flow2) pull trigger3) push igniter, doesn't work, lower gas flow, ignite, maybe lower again to minimum and ignite again4) increase flow back up once its litWould have been awesome if ignite and flow control was all part of the pull trigger, just pull, it ignites, squeeze more to increase flow.

The igniter just does not work. You can push the button as many time as you can, no effect. The gas stop node gets broken after the first use. Cheap plastic. Total disaster.

I purchased this product after deciding to spend a little more to get a superior product. It initially worked as advertised. Now, several months later, it has developed a leak in the handle. This is probably the 15th use of this product. Propane now escapes near where your hand grips the handle, creating a significant safety hazard.I called the manufacturer and explained to them the situation. They told me this product only has a 30 day warranty. They'd be happy to send me another if I paid for it....unbelievable.I can understand that sometimes things go wrong. I would think this failure was an aberration except that they claim a 30 day warranty. THEY don't even think their product will last. Save yourself the trouble and DO NOT BUY this lighter.

Was hoping this would be great torch. Arrived with gas knob cracked. Look like it was forced on, with out lining it up with D shaped valve. That fixed up fairly easy with super glue. But bigger problem is it will not ignite. It sparks, but not enough to ignite. Lights easily with another source flame, but kind of defeats the purpose to have to strike a match when this is supposed to be a feature. Flame is awesome once manually lit, and is quick to get charcoal burning. Easily 5 stars if worked properly.
