Metal Earth 3D Laser Cut Steel Models - Black Pearl Ship and Golden Hind Ship Set of 2

These are very intricate, very small models. Approximately 45 minutes of work on one model I was able to complete about 1/3 of the assembly. The parts are very small and require care to use. These were initially bought for my Boy Scout troop and the scouts that tried these found them very difficult (even broke some pieces). I would very strongly suggest using a pair of tweezers to help assemble the parts and bend the tabs to keep the pieces together.I do very much like these models and had a lot of fun working with them; just be prepared to spend a decent amount of time working on each set with very small pieces. Highly recommended for advanced builders.

I found these items in a little shop on vacation and thought boy this is a cool item. I have always loved Models when I was a kid and seeing these items on display I thought Wow this is a cool way to display something you like and seams like it is more cool than a model lol. I ordered these ships since I have always loved pirate and tall ships and the fact there is a combo deal was great.price is pretty good for a nice little side Hobby.I also bought the tool kit they have for making these and glad I did,I will keep them specially for these builds ! good deal,Lots fun and love to show them off !

I bought this set because I love old sailing ships. but was disappointed as the metal is too flimsy and beaks very easily. Especially when trying to separate the pieces.

very easy to put together. metal it delicate, easy to bend out of shape and may break if you mess with it too much. its time consuming like you would expect from any other puzzle. Black Pearl doesn't stand very well on the stand for display.

A lot of fun to put together. They look really cool once done.

This model wasn't much of a challenge besides getting the sails lined up. The base is a Seperate piece and snapped as i was bending it. It looks nice enough but far from my favorite.

The Black Pearl is my first metal earth model, and definitely this is not a toy.Good close sight and needle-nose pliers required to avoid frustration, make sure you have 2 - 3 hours to spare on this model.The mast and the deck is quite easy. Be careful when bending the notch, make sure you do it in the right direction so the mast will not be easily loose.The bottom part is less easy since you have to bend it by following the edge of the deck and barely done it by guessing. To make the angel figure well aligned is also quite challenging.Use regular pen to bend the sail, start from the front mast, bottom-up, you will need your good close sight here.The ship stand is bit too wide so make sure you don't bend the bottom part downward too much, otherwise it will not stand properly.And yes you will have 3 excess parts (number 6).Overall this model is quite good to spend the time, i will prepare better for the Golden hind.
