I bought this to attach to the door trim leading into the house from our 4 season room. There's 2 steps up into the house. My husband walks with a cane and has a hard time walking up steps. We didn't really want to put a railing up, so this was a good option. He just grabs the handle when he's going up the steps and it makes it easy for him to get up them.It's very sturdy and looks rustic, which fits the decor of our room perfectly. It comes with two heavy duty screws so it feels very secure.So much more affordable than a railing, plus it looks nicer and isn't really taking up any space.. I'm very happy with this purchase.

When building my new studio office, I wanted French doors. I also didn't want regular door knobs. After some online research I landed on sliding barn door pulls, and purchased these.These are hefty and sturdy, and a really nice size. Plenty big enough to get both hands into (if for some reason you needed to). Installation is simple - drill a small hole for the all-thread rod, thread the standoff onto each side, then bolt the flat handle onto the standoff. Should you ever change your mind on them, you're left with two 1/4" holes to fill (on each side of the door), which is pretty simple.My only concern is the durability of the finish. These are probably steel with a black "hammered coating" on them. I had one or two places where a small chip came off. So long as it doesn't continue or get worse, it won't be an issue. Worst-case scenario, could always sand and repaint, but I'm hoping it won't come to that.

I purchased these for my dual 70lb barn door setup, it's very sturdy and all solid steel. No chance these will fail later. They're meant for decoration so only have a small screw mounting hole but if you need a really heavy duty handle, you could just drill it out and use it for much heavier duty. The flange is 1/4in plate steel and the handle is 5/8 solid rod and they are welded together--good luck stressing this handle to the breaking point.If you're not looking for extreme heavy duty, they are also quite decorative, just enough style and not over done.

Heavy nice handle, that I purchased for a cedar patio cooler I was building. I have had it outside for a week and it is already starting to rust. If you look at the picture you can see it in the bends where the handle proper attaches to the bit you attach to your project. It would be great for a rustic indoor project, but as a gate/outdoor handle not so great.UPDATE:I probably should have done this to start with, considering this is iron. I took off the handles cleaned up the rust and sprayed the handle with rust remover and again with black paint. Looks great and should hold up to the elements.

I have not installed it yet because the door its going on has not arrived yet, but when I took it out of the box, I was amazed with the beautiful craftsmanship! The carvings in the center are so clean looking and add a lot of character to the handle. It's also very heavy which says to me it's not made of some cheap flimsy material. Very solid and sturdy, especially for the price! Will update this review once it has been installed.

These a beautiful. They are very strong and even though there is only one hole on each end to attach them they are very secure. I use them on my sliding garage doors which are a 100 years old and they look charming. I do wish I had realized they were two pieces- the handle is set into the piece that screws to the doors. I do not know if that will make a difference over the next 100 year, but I would have preferred them to be all one piece.

The handle itself is substantial, but expect to need a better fastener.The mounting hole is 5/16, but the mounting screws are 3/16.Because these handles are intended for real-world service on my barn, I used the biggest bolt I could push through the hole.No regrets. I'd buy them again.

The media could not be loaded.  I’m so please with the handles, it made my door look incredible and the material is good and heavy!
