I’ve been using this CAP 7-foot Olympic bar for a few weeks now, and it’s been awesome. The knurling is just how I like it—not too sharp, but enough grip to feel secure during heavy lifts. It works well for everything from squats and deadlifts to bench press and overhead work.While this isn’t a curl bar, I do have one from CAP as well, and I’ve had a great experience with both. They seem to know what they’re doing when it comes to budget-friendly gear that still performs.The functionality is great overall—no issues at all during my lifts. It’s sturdy, doesn’t flex under heavier weights, and the spin on the sleeves is smoother than I expected at this price point. Cheap bar that’s worth it for my budget garage gym. I’m not needing the best and most expensive… just something to throw weight around! This does that well.

[Update] I liked this bar so much I purchased another one. The bar luckily arrived in good shape even though both ends of the long box it was packaged in were damaged and completely open. When I picked up the box, the bar fell out of the box on my driveway. Making both ends of the box stronger and more secure are needed so the bar stays in the box.This Olympic bar is pretty well built. For most people this bar will be a nice addition to your home gym. It is well balanced, can hold plenty of weight, has good knurling, and smooth rotating sleeves. A competitive lifter, or someone that needs a bar to hold super heavy weights, will want a different bar that is made to handle heavier poundages and can take a lot of abuse. For me, this bar is plenty strong for the weights I use. The price of this bar is awesome and will work great for most people. The bar was packaged well in a long cardboard box.

Great product

On the cheaper side of barbells but I'm no power lifter and only need it for its basic function, works great imo. I just wish the knurling was more grippy but overall a good buy for the price.
