Fairly straightforward to install. The fingerprint scanner works well and is very convenient. I have it inside my garage, so I’m not too concerned about the cold effecting the scanner. Not sure how well it would do outside but inside it’s great.

I returned a different branded lock as instructions were very difficult to follow. This one was very easy to set up.

I love this. I installed it with my 10 yo daughter in about 15 minutes. The app doesn’t do anything but it’s easy to set up passcodes and finger prints. We’ve had it for about 2 weeks and everything functions as expected.

The company reached out to me to address my concerns and ultimately provided excellent customer service and made things right. I've changed my rating to 4 to reflect this. I still have concerns re: installation, although reading here, most people seemed to have no trouble with it (are there more than one version of this product?). I appreciate hearing from the company and good customer service makes all the difference (a rarity these days).PREVIOUS REVIEW: Now that they are installed, I'm fairly happy with them and they appear to function well. But the installation can be a nightmare. I bought 2 of these, one for the entry door from the garage, and the other for the front door. Installed the garage one first. All went well until I tried to insert the connection screws through the door hole into the outside piece. As much as I tried, they would just not go in very far. I removed it from the door and tried screwing the screws in just to see if they actually fit. Well, the left one was ok. The right one would only go in so far. So it was obviously flawed/damanged. At that point I should have wrapped it all up and sent it back, but I was too far in the process. So found another shorter screw to kind of function and got it in (it is not the best choice and security may be a concern0. I really should have returned the faulty one...The other huge design flaw is the corded cable from the outside piece to the inside - there is literally NOWHERE to put it when you're snapping on the cover. It is seriously ridiculous. I tried moving it around and around and finally FORCED the cover on. Yikes, terrible design. Really terrible. I had read this in a review, but thought - user error! It wasn't.Once installed, it fired up easily and the programming could not have been simpler. Fingerprints worked great.Installed the 2nd one on the front door, and it went much more smoothly (because both screws actually fit!). But the corded cable still presented a challenge (as it is a design flaw). After about ten minutes I managed to FORCE the cover on this one too. Again programmed easily. But I did discover another issue with this one. My house faces east-ish and there is sun on my front door. It is almost impossible to read the numbers on the front panel because they are so dimly lit. If you have the same issue I would not recommend this unit. However, as I mostly plan on using the fingerprint reader, I don't have to see the numbers.I still gave it a 2 stars because it seems to function well, but the other issues are still a concern, and if the cover pops off or fails miserably (due to the faulty unit), I'll revise this score.

It’s been working great.

The media could not be loaded. Installation is super easy. Read directions and watch the video before installing first. Will probably fit any US main doors. Just swap the old deadbolt lock with this. No need to drill another hole if you already have deadbolt in placed. Don’t forget to adjust the deadbolt latch, it maybe shortens or lengthens. Lock functionality is superb. We don’t use key to unlock the front door anymore. You can unlock using the keypad by punching in your pin or by using finger prints. It also comes with a key. There is a key slot just in case your battery is flat. Also secured because it is not connected to wifi (Cannot be hacked). It will auto lock after opening. Duration before automatic locking can be adjusted base on your preference (in seconds) It is affordable. Would highly recommend this product. Battery life remains to be determined as I have just installed it. Design of this lock will definitely modernize your front door.

Im very disappointed because I bought this thinking of my young kids who walk to and from school and I didnt want to give them a key bc I thought they would lose it so I thought this was a great idea and I thought the fingerprint would be so convenient and easy for them to just put their finger and just come in. But we quickly realized it was making things more complicated. My kids would be at the door trying to scan their finger multiple times and the scan would fail. It happened to me too coming in with groceries tried to scan finger multilple times and i got very frustrated and cus after the 7th time i put my fingerprint the lock just blocked me out. There was no way to get it to work except with the key. Thank god i had the keys on me.I never write reviews but i had to on this one. Im returning since i just bought a regular coded one, amazon brand, it was $30 and it works perfect
