Solid, Exceeds Expectations
The media could not be loaded. Solid. Mattress is what you might consider a medium-firm, or firm, if you walked into a Mattress firm and a salesperson accosted you and said "here are our medium firms", they would show you this mattress. The mattress is pretty comfy, probably suitable for back sleepers, not sure for side sleepers. For comparison, the major discrepancies between this and a some of the medium sealy mattresses (like Sealy Posturepedic® Elite Brenham II 16" Medium Euro Top Mattress, Sealy Posturepedic® Ashurst II 13" Medium Mattress) in my opinion are:- the sides and corners especially have more sinkage than mentioned mattresses above. (you can go to some random mattress store and walk on one to see.- there is no overt "cooling gel" on the top, so it doesn't feel like you're pressing your body to a window on a cool day when you get on the mattress.- the cover/top seems to have a bit more give, a little less restitution (bounciness)--think the differece between flicking and a pound cake, sponge cake, and jello gently; this bed is like pound cake, a sealy medium is like sponge cake, and latex is like jello.- Not really sure how people feel about this in general, but that's my thought.Anyway, there was no smell when I opened it up, and surprisingly, it was pretty easy to unfurl and let expand. I would advise letting the mattress expand... where you will sleep on it. I let it expand inside the plastic covering it came in because I was concerned about dust getting into the mattress.- After a day, it looked like the bottom-top seam measurement was 13in, and the bottom-tallest point of the mattress (cover juts out a bit more) was 14 in. I'm too lazy to provide a picture right now. Now, in terms of sleep quality: seems fine. slept on it yesterday even with plastic covers on, and I'm fine. For reference, I'm 140 pounds, my cats also sleep on the bed, and don't really have back problems or chronic pain. So basically this is fine.I'll try to update this maybe three or so months in the future with more thoughts, but I see other reviews here 7 months out so it might be more for my own personal reference.

Surprisingly Amazing!
Full disclosure here. I am a biiiiiig girl. 385# big. I’m hard on mattresses. I’ve never bought a bed in a box. I’ve always been old school. Give me a flip and turn so I can get myMoney’s worth. You just can’t readily find them now much to my dismay. Special made but they’re well over $1000.Last bed was a name brand that started with an and ended in y. Total junk. Lasted 3 years. Cost approximately $550. Based on reviews I thought what the heck and there was a coupon. I paid just $257 for this mattress in a box. I didn’t expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. Two friends unboxed it for me as I’m a bit older and not quite as strong as I used to be. They got to the end of the plastic when unpackaging it and the thing SPRANG to life. I’m not kidding it nearly shot th through the bedroom wall. None of us ever had a bed in a box. It was a good, hardy laugh. Now I’ve always, all my life slept on a plush but wanted to go at least medium firm to have more support for my weight. So far this fits the bill. The first couple of days I struggle with some soreness from getting used to a firmer bed. It’s definitely not firm like my dad had preferred. There some give but still firmer than I’ve ever used regularly. After the first couple of days I’m in love. This is a quality mattress. No weird smells, ready to go out of the box to be honest I did give it about 8 hours that first day though. They say more in the box but it was/is fine.Do I expect any mattress to last 10 years if I remain this heavy? No. I do think this is going to last a lot longer than that other name brand I junked in just 3 years.I say try this out if you’re looking.

Amazingly Comfy!
This is my first bed in a box I've ever bought! I was a little nervous about the low price and not knowing what to expect, so naturally this has sat in my cart for quite a while. I purchased this mattress to replace my extremely old pillow top that I've had for well over 10 years. We have only slept on this for two nights so far, but OMG I am so impressed with how comfy this bed is!!!-We let it sit for one full day before sleeping on it, but it was pretty much ready to be used as soon as it was unpacked. No weird or chemical smells after opening. It also arrived three days early during the height of Christmas season!-Be careful when you cut the plastic off this mattress. It's vacuum sealed and literally burst open with enough force that it actually pushed me back a bit due to the inner coils! To be fair I probably opened it improperly.-It's definitely a true medium-firm. I HATE super firm mattresses. It is firm enough to provide support and soft enough to be comfy and cozy without sinking. I don't feel like I'm sinking into this mattress at all, and there are no imprints left from me sleeping on it all night. If it were any firmer it would be like laying on a board.-The edges of this bed do sink in more easily than the rest of the bed, which is to be expected considering ALL mattresses lack edge support to differing extents, but not nearly as severely as some of the other reviews had led me to believe. Some have suggested that you can't even sit on the edge of the bed without sliding off, which is honestly just silly. You absolutely can comfortably sit at the edge of the bed without sinking in or sliding off, unless you weigh over 250 pounds or are using this bed with no base. We have this bed on top of our old box spring. My partner and I are both 30, weigh around 180 and have had 0 issues with the edge support so far. I actually sleep very close to the edge of my side, and I don't feel like I'm sinking or sliding at all.-I am an all-sides sleeper, I'm turning in bed all night like a rotisserie chicken. I find any sleeping position equally comfortable on this bed. It doesn't absorb movement to the same extent as a full memory foam mattress, so if you're sharing this bed with another person/doggy/etc you will feel them move, as you would with any other mattress other than full foam.-This mattress does hold onto heat. I run hot at night and I can definitely feel the difference between my old mattress and this one. It's not excessively hot but it's enough to be noticeable.I will update this review should something go horribly wrong but overall I'm really, really happy with this purchase! It has been worth every penny so far, it's an excellent mattress for the low price point and I would absolutely purchase again. I'm so happy to have a comfy bed again. I can't wait to sleep in on this bed on Saturday morning :)
