Interesting L4 and R4 buttons, improved clicky dpad. Very solid controller, recommended.
I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate Bluetooth and while it is very good, the dpad is probably its biggest flaw. I was intrigued by the Ultimate 2C and am very pleasantly surprised to find the dpad is significantly improved. It's clickier, more responsive and less mushy than the original Ultimate.I was also keen to test the unusual L4 and R4 shoulder buttons which I had never seen before. I can say that these are also a successful addition, easy to use and very easy to set with the special assign button. I thought they may be awkward to hit but they truly work like an assistant to the standard shoulder buttons. The sticks, shell and face buttons are all excellent, good feeling and no accidental activations. Hall effect sticks and triggers at this price is great. I don't use them but the included more convex shaped thumbstick caps are a thoughtful inclusion.I respect 8Bitdo for their willingness to try different configurations and layouts. There is always a tradeoff in terms of price and functionality, so you do lose the back buttons on the pricier models but I find the new L4 and R4 to be a worthy replacement.I'm very pleased to see tweaks and improvements made. 8Bitdo if you're listening, this style of dpad is a vast improvement and the L4 R4 experiment is a keeper. A future 3C with these improvements plus back buttons or even 4 actuator keys like the Xbox Elite controllers would be great.

Nice, quality controller.
love it, the quality is really good and it connects in BT in Linux with no issues, I am having an issue connecting with the Wifi dongle, though, but, I am running an older distribution. I know that the newer kernels should be plug and play. (I'll test that in the future) It feels like you are holding an Xbox controller. and is slightly lighter. I really dig that they moved the back buttons from under the controller to the front and grouped them with the bumpers and triggers. I always accidently press them when they are under the controller so I really think this is a better place for them for Me. also, I really like the Hall effect analogs and the 1000hz polling rate. (while in 2.4G or wired) very happy with the purchase.

Almost perfect: amazing build quality, but limited platforms supported
Lovely controller, excellent triggers and joy sticks! Best value proposition with what feels like no drawbacks in terms of build quality. I loved it so much I gave the Purple one to my girlfriend and bought a Green one for myself. This was when I learned of the only major flaw this controller has, its connectivity. It seems like all the budget was spent on was the hardware as it is fantastic, as it can only connect to PC and android. This means if you have a switch, mac, iPad, or iPhone etc. you cannot use this amazing controller with your platform. Was extremely frustrating finding this out so late, really wish 8bitdo would extend the support to at least Mac as this is my favorite controller of all time and is so close to perfect!

Solid upgrade.
System(s) used: PCHand size: Large (21 cm x 9.75 cm across palm, not including thumb).Cons:1) Joystick material is very slippery except on the textured sides. If using a light touch the included joystick covers are basically mandatory.Pros:1) Joystick covers work great and feel great. Stick to your finger even with very light pressure.2) Face buttons are flatter than the XBox nubs. They feel a bit too stiff at first but they break in nicely.3) Mapping/Turbo buttons are flush with the controller body so it's hard to accidentally press them.4) Both the hall effect joysticks and triggers feel tight. There isn't a lot of jiggle in the neutral position. The joysticks also have noticeably more resistance than an XBox controller.5) The polling rate difference (XBox at 125 Hz; this at 500-1000 Hz) is very noticeable. Frustratingly so. This obviously depends on the genres played but with fighting games it's night and day.6) No setup. Just plugged in the dongle, pressed power on the controller, and good to go.Other:- Boxier than an XBox controller (closer to a PS controller) and the palm grips are smaller. This sits somewhere between a PS4 and XBox controller in both shape and size.- Clicky D-Pad. I think it feels good (much better than the standard XBox) but I also don't use D-Pad much.- L4/R4 are actually great if you use claw grip or have big hands. Didn't think I'd use them but they're surprisingly comfortable.

I LOVE IT!
Holy I love this controller, I think for 30$ this is absolutely a must have, joysticks are really precise and smooth, the buttons are perfectly fine, and the responsiveness is amazing, I like the vibrations too.Now I'm by no means a controller expert, I've always preferred PS style controllers with joysticks leveled, and I'm actually playing games on my PC that would have more features for ps5 controller, BUT it's twice as expensive, slower and might start drifting in the future, I was really debating if the triggers on PS5 changing stiffness is worth the extra 40$ (60 if you go for special edition) and at the end I decided that they are not. After getting the controller I don't regret it one bit, seriously this thing is an absolute monster for 30$ and it looks amazing in person.

OEM quality for a fraction of the price!
I've been picking up 8BitDo controllers for all of my consoles and I have never been disappointed. These are high quality controllers and aren't like the other knockoff controller brands where you're sacrificing quality for price. I don't know how they manage to sell these controllers for so cheap when they are so high quality, but you won't see me complaining about it!If you're looking for a controller for any of your consoles, but don't want to pay the crazy OEM prices, 8BitDo is definitely the gold standard for aftermarket controllers!
