Same price as other outlets. But arrived next day. Works great in computer wit a couple of minor tweaks. Speeds up to 5.7 GHz. Noise level compares with other processors.

The Ryzen 9950x is an extremely powerful processor, don't let people or reviewers tell you otherwise. This thing pummels through multi core tasks and matches the 7800X3D without the X3D technology. This thing is efficient too and runs cooler then last gens 7950X. This is a must buy if you utilise 16 cores and is equally capable in gaming. Another task this CPU is excellent at is PS3 emulation, I can run 4K rock solid 60FPS. Well worth the high price.

Works wonders on the ASUS ROG STRIX 870E-E mobo.

I've been running a 14 core 28 thread Xeon E5-2697v3 2.6MHz with 40 pcie lanes for a few years now on a Asus X99 AII board.I run Pixinsight astrophotography processing software which eats as many cores and as much memory as you can afford to feed it with. Not being able to afford a 24-32 core Threadripper i thought this 9950x ( no P cores to mess with as on Intel ) would be ideal. It's fast I can run 6000MHz memory with it. 16 cores on 2 CCD's CCD1 is slightly slower ( P cores? ) as i later found out and if you play games it switches off. I don't play games so it wouldn't be a problem or so i thought.Build was MSI X670e Tomahawk Wifi. Latest Bios. 96GB DDR5 Corsair Expo. Top mounted Corsair 360 icue H150i. Corsair 2TB Nvme boot plus 2x 4Tb Nvme work drives and 2x 4Tb ssd. Corsair 750D case ( still the best ) 3x 140mm Corsair fans giving positive pressure. Clean W10 install. Board and CPU give me 32 usable pcie lanes.I don't over clock as i need stability so 4.3MHz base is twice as fast as my 14 core. I loaded Ryzen Master software and did my first processing run, only to see the cores switching off one by one until i was running 2 cores on CCD 0 at 800Hz. Temperature never dropped below 85c even on 2 cores, It's rated to be stable at 90c.Tech support haven't a clue and I was left going through forums and YouTube videos to find out was was happening. Nothing helped solve the problem. So returned the whole setup and put old system back together this time with a 18 core 36 thread Xeon E5 CPUThis is the worst CPU i have ever bought and I will never buy AMD again. This is unfit for purpose and should never have core parking built in as it shut down almost all my cores.
