I use these pants to travel vs shorts or jeans. They are very smooth and comfy and after losing items in unzippered, too warm sweatpants, I wanted zippers and a smooth material that breathes and is comfortable in cold or warm weather. These pants fit the bill and also love the snug fit that wrap securely around my ankles
