Koch Industries A20221 Chain Tie Out for Medium Size Dogs

This chain is definitely heavy duty, but much shorter in length thani expected. I would not recommend for small pets. I have a 95pd Rottweiler chained to it and it's perfect for him. He had broken many tie outs, because he is a puller. I doubt very seriously he pop this one. My only concern is the chain rusting over time, but we'll see. So far despite the shortness it has been serving its purpose.

This is a super heavy, heavy duty chain, extremely sturdy. But that's what I needed. My rescue dog had many issues to overcome, I needed this level of strength. She chewed through the cotton lead, and the heavy nylon lead. I didn't want to have to deal with metal cable which seemed my next option, so I looked for a chain. If you need a big chain, for a powerful beast, this might be good for you. It worked for me and my beast.

This is the best dog chain I've ever seen. I couldn't imagine anything better. The only problem I have is the image of the product ( only one photo of the chain in it's clear box was available when I made my purchase) therefore is was hard to get a good idea of what the chain really looked like. Nonetheless I took a chance after reading the product reviews. My parcel arrived ahead of time and was very well packed but to my dismay it was much too heavy at eight pounds. It is so heavy duty my husband says it reminds him of a cow chain. For those of you out there looking for a heavy duty chain look no further... this is it! I would have given this five stars if they had better photos of their product. I would return it for the medium one but it would not be cost effective. Oh well, I'll find a home for it. Next time I'll opt for the medium size. My poor judgement. It's a beauty though!

I used this for my goats. The package says it's for 85 pound dogs and under, but the chain is VERY heavy, and I can't see any normal-size dog getting out of this one!I like the swivel connectors, and one end can be removed if desired.I read some pretty lousy reviews for the cable tie outs; I can't imagine this dog chain wearing out or even breaking, ever.I can't tell if the chain will rust, but even if there is surface rust, it should still provide good service for years.By the way, make sure you periodically check on ANY chained, restrained or confined animal!

Doesn't matter if the chain is good quality if the dog gets loose anyways. The link between the hook and the rest of the chain has a screw on it that often gets undone so my dog ends up in my front yard. Have to constantly tighten that screw every time I hook him up so that he doesn't get loose. Don't understand why they didn't just make one continuous chain.

I have a medium sized very strong mutt who chews through all extra tough dog toys for large dogs. I like to keep him outside with me when I garden and do outdoor chores but I need to keep him on a chain because as a former stray he will go exploring in the second I take my eyes off him. This chain is long enough to allow him to explore where he is and he cannot chew through it. It keeps him safe and happy.

Finally, a chain that can hold my Rottweiler. I was concerned with the comments regarding the weight, but it was worth it. I have a 60+lb dog with an active spirit. So far so good.

Within the first day or two of using this my dog was loose. Had to buy replacement closures to fix the chain. Really disappointed because none of the cables I have used keep my dog tied so I thought this would be the solution I was looking for. Not a huge dog either, 65lb Australian Shepherd.
