This little menorah is just perfect. No it is not gold
This little menorah is just perfect. No it is not gold, silver or copper but it is very nice looking. I see some peoples reviews on here saying it is a menorah for a child. While they are probably the competition that are also selling more expensive menorahs. First of all what parents lets their child play with fire? One poster said to put a towel under it before you lite it. What kind of ignoramus puts a towel under a menorah because towels are combustion able? Take my advice, put a large section of tin foil underneath the menorah and don’t kindle it in a place where there are combustion able materials. Make sure as you lite the candles for the eight days of Chanukah that you are being extra careful with safety to avoid a fire. The menorah should be displayed where people outside the home can see the lights kindling. And it should also be in a place where you too can watch the candles glow as you remember the miracle that this holiday is all about. Also I’m a Jewish parent and it is my recommendation not to allow a child to lite the menorah. The Menorah should be lite by an adult that has had a bar Mitzvah or a Bat Mitzvah or an adult that is of the age or past the age of Bar or Bat Mitzvah. This is an ideal menorah for any adult no matter what your income is. It is not a big menorah, but I’m not of the school that says big is better because that isn’t necessarily true. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. For example my wife once asked me what I saw in her that gave me the courage to propose. I told her it was because of her nice petite size because I could carry her.

Good little Menorah
I'm giving it five starts because it has nine candles instead of seven. I just learned that the menorah "has these extra branches to observe the eight days in which the Temple lamp burned without oil during the cleansing of the Temple under the Maccabees."(Larry Huch Ministries), and that when you light you light the menorah you are giving light to your destiny, and that the center candle represents the Messiah Yeshuah HaMashiach. What I am displeased about is that I am paying more for the same menorah that I see the seller I bought it from selling one for less then what I paid.New update (1/02/2012):My last update written when I got the menorah last month was negative due to fact that didn't know the menorah was going to be small and be made in China not Israel, and that I paid somewhat more for the same product. But that was last month, and I learned that they can be made in China and once you get it you need to anoint it with Israeli made anointing oil. However to receive God's (G-d's for those who are Jewish) full intended blessings during Chanukah the candles have to be made in Israel. We used to celebrate our first Chanukah. This may come as a shock to Orthodox Jews but my family is Christian who are coming back to the Jewish roots of the church. The only place that Chanukah is mention is in the book of John(Yochanan)chapter 10 in the New Testament.

Love it!!
I've been searching for a menorah for some time now. I stumbled across this particular one and decided to purchase it, not only because of the design, but also because it was actually affordable. I read a lot of the reviews complaining about the size, or how the recommended candles didn't fit. I can say (and as you can see from my attached photo), that I've had no issue whatsoever with it. As you can also see in the photo I uploaded, I immediately tested out the candle-fit way ahead of Chanukah, and also because the reviews lacked photos from other buyers. The menorah itself, is absolutely gorgeous and flawless; it is a polished silver, though you may or may not be able to tell from my cell phone photo, and is very sturdy. As mentioned earlier, I bought and used the recommended Rite-Lite candles , which fit perfectly; just be gentle and patient when slowly placing them in the holders. I love that this menorah is not too tall, nor is it too small. It is just the right side for me! Overall, I highly recommend buying this if you are looking for an inexpensive way to celebrate Chanukah.

Bought this for my daughter
My wife is a fan of Matisyahu and the Maccabeats and even though we are not Jewish my daughter who is 4 kept saying she wanted a menorah. I picked this one for the classic styling and inexpensive price. It was a bit smaller than I expected it to be but this was not disappointing. it is easy for her to carry around and I plan to light it for Hanukah this year and teach her about the history of the Jewish people. I do not know if traditional or orthodox Jews would like it but for us it was perfect.

Not what it seems
I thought it was alot bigger than it was. The package came damaged and there is a small dent on the bottom of thr menorah. Not pleased at all I would have given more stars if it was a bit bigger and didn't come damaged.

A good traditional Menorah
This year I filled my home with Menorahs so that we celebrated Hanukkah ceremony several times a day. I know it is not tradition but it filled my heart with joy to have my family so joyfully remember the true meaning of this holiday and to be inspired to want to hear it again and again because of my choice to put so many Menorahs in our home. It made the holidays. This particular menorah is nice but it seems more cheaply made than the others I purchased.
