Love it
Sorry for late review. I purchased this couple years ago and it still works well. It's powerful, and not heavy on the hand. whatever you're cutting, it's done in no time. it's fast and accurate.

Good buy
I just could not pass it up for $30. Black and Decker is supposed to be a lower-quality home-owner's brand, but I have always gotten good service from them. So far it works fine. Better certainly than the cheap Home Depot Ryobi garbage. Heavy and solid feeling. It has a shamefully cheap handle, however. I own a high quality Makita grinder, too, and its handle is also cheap and easy to chip pieces from, but not this cheap. Consequently, I handle the handle on this item gently and watch how and where I put the tool down. It has a nice easy-push shut-off button I like. My Makita has a paddle on/off on the bottom, and when I put it down it can hit that and spin the tool around. Not good. .

Good tool, one fault
I've used this extensively. It does a good job, it's a go-getter. For the price it is great. The one important defect is the operating switch. At first it was fine, but now that it is a bit worn it is a nuisance because I have to hold the switch on which is awkward, it readily jumps out of the groove that is supposed to hold the power on.

Great grinder for the price - it can take the abuse
I bought this grinder to be a throw-away tool to use on a fiberglass boat restoration. During the restoration, I ran this grinder for hours on end over the course of 18 months, often times in an enclosed space where it ingested heaps of fiberglass dust into the motor. I finished the restoration 3 years ago, I still use the grinder today in my shop. I fully anticipated this $35 grinder to die at some point during the project, but it's still here today.

It has been good to me
I'm a hobbyist welder and picked this up because of the price, reviews, and the video on the Tool Teardowns YouTube channel that showed the innards to be surprisingly well-made for the low price. I've used it for cutting and grinding with flap disks and plain grinding wheels. I have been happy with the performance so far.Pros:PricePower (I haven't stalled it out yet)Locking power switch (this is a huge deal)Guard is easy to adjustHandle has 3 positions - I've only used one of them but the option is there and it's a quick changeCons:The manual says you need a type 27 disk which is cupped to put the rest of the disk farther away from the axis of the handle of the tool, but from my experience that is not necessary. Just keep your body out of the plane of rotation and you will be fine if a cutoff wheel explodes.I'll update this review if anything changes for the worse.
