Professional Photographer

I have no idea why the "bad" reviews are saying these are not polarized. I've been a professional photog for 20+ years and you can test if a lens is polarized by using a known polarized lens - If the light dims or goes black at a certain angle, your camera lens is polarized. If there’s no change, it isn’t. This product IS polarized. Anyway, I bought this for my mother because she needed a clip-on, or else I'd have given her one of my lenses. Here's a screenshot she sent me using a Macbook (don't blame me for lack of clarity in the pic, she took it). Anyhow, to make these work, you can't just pop it on and start turning the dial and think "voila." No. You have to "tune" it. This is a a CPL lens. Since a CPL blocks some light, rotating it can slightly affect exposure, usually by 1–2 stops. That's how it works on a camera, and this is no different. It works BEST if your light source is above you, or DIFFUSED from the side, such as with a diffused ring light or an equivalent "soft box." If you have too much harsh, non diffused light, on your left or right, it will only work on one side of your glasses. If you turn it too much, it will go back to glare, you have to be slow with it and go back and forth until you hit the sweet spot.Cons: The only thing that bothers me about this lens, and it's serious, is it's too tight and cannot be loosened - unless you know what you're doing with some tools. It's a spring loaded clamp. The issue is, if you use this on a MacBook, which is very thin, it's so tight that it could easily damage the camera via the pressure. I would NOT put this on a MacBook unless you loosen the pressure. The only way to do that is by bending the clamp anchors. Not too hard. If you look on YouTube, 'how to fix a broken hair clip', you'll see how spring loaded clamps are put together/disassembled and be able to fairly easily loosen it.Tip, if the green light on your camera is causing glare, put a small piece of black paper over the light with the tiniest bit of tape and problem solved. Don't use a 'camera cover' for the light if you're on Mac because if you close the lid with one of those one, it can damage the camera.

BOGUS - DOES NOT WORK - DO NOT BUY

I bought this to put on my webcam to remove the computer monitor glare on my glasses during zoom/teams meetings. I screwed around with adjusting the lens (turning it) and it did zero. This think is 100% bogus. Now I have to waste my time returning it. DO NOT BUY.

Great for taking tattoo pictures

Helps a lot with the glare from the wetness of the skin after a tattoo session, and also works well for taking healed pics and rids the shine

Simply removes any reflections/glares

I tested it with car reflections, and simply rotating the filter removed them, resulting in clear and vibrant shots. The phone clip securely holds the filter in place, and the compact case keeps everything organized. Just note that it's quite small if you have a 3-5 camera modules on your phone. I would suggest getting a 55mm or 67mm filter for your phone. Also, try to be careful on adjusting the filter as it will move your phone clip out of place.Otherwise, this is a must-have for anyone seeking to enhance their photography with a phone. It's affordable and pretty effective.

Works great after twisting and fine-tuning

Wearing glasses and webcams don't mix, and this solved my biggest issue by reducing screen reflections on my glasses dramatically.I simply clipped it on my webcam (added a silicone wad to reduce the squeeze stress on the webcam) and after carefully rotating the lens to reach the sweet spot the glare was virtually eliminated. No changing angles, no reducing the brightness of my monitor, it just works. You HAVE to rotate the lens, simply placing it in front of a camera won't work.I will have to modify it by cutting off the clamp to make it lighter, probably a silicone brace of some sort, but the lens does what it was supposed to.

Tired of seeing the glare in your glasses?

I wear glasses and sit on front of the computer all day for work. With that comes many Zoom meetings. I got tired of seeing the glare in my glasses, moreso wanted my colleagues to see my eyes clearly. This perfect little gadget attached to my webcam fixed it! No more glare from my glasses.

It doesn't do anything

It does not do anything to reduce glare. I can fully see my reflection in glass. Waste of money
