Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade 3 oz. per Jar (2 Pack)

In terms of price, performance and how much you get this stuff is a knock out of the park. I've used it since the early 2000's when I found it in the PX. I'm a white dude with straight-ish hair so I know I'm not the intended market, there's no way I'm sportin' waves. But for short hair styles the hold is excellent and then, in a few hours, it just fades into the hair so it doesn't feel sticky, crunchy or gross. It just feels like my hair and it looks healthier. You can skip spending $12 for american crew, this is way better and a single can will last me anywhere from 8-13 months. Just make sure you work it around in your hands to warm it up first or it may pull out a few hairs if you apply it too strongly ;)

Murray's pomade has been a long-standing favorite, ever since I discovered it's existence, which I can't recall, off-hand. It might have been around the beginning of my college years, because I tried to dreadlock my hair, and I picked up some Murray's Beeswax, which is similar to this product, although more waxy and firm. The firmness of hold, as a petroleum-based product, is unmatched, in my experience, with other products from different manufacturers. A comparison of the products is completely unbalanced - on one side, there's this product, which is petroleum based, but it's much thicker than Vaseline, for example, and not nearly as greasy. It's difficult to compare other pomade products to this one, because the ones I encounter, from other brands, are somewhat akin to hair gel, with some thickener added to it, perhaps. This product is definitely not liquid, at all. It's somewhat like a nearly evaporated paste, which is perfect for my thick hair.

Bought this due to Jake Owen recommending it and it works great! Follow his instructions to works really well, put the product in then shower and shampoo and you can still put your hair how you want it.

It’s a great price it works. The only drawback is that it’s kind of hard to wash off your hands once you’re done using it. You need like a towel or something to wipe the extra stuff off of it really doesn’t want to get off your hands. That being said it’s an insanely good deal and there’s nothing cancerous in it

Does your hair not want to cooperate? Welcome to the nuclear option, Murrays. I would not suggest this for your average person. It does not wash out of your hair. It requires a slight lifestyle change, to be honest. But it will tame your hair, if nothing else will. For best results use a water based pomade or some other gel in small amounts, mixed with the Murray's. Hair will stay where you set it. Smells great. Use Aussie 3 Minute Miracle (sitting in dry hair for about 20 minutes) to strip out.
