Very well designed, user friendly, great quality.
I've trusted Ankar for many years for chargers which is the parent company. These systems are well thought out, integrate together seemlessly and work as promised. I was so impressed with my home system that I wired a second poperty with EUFY as well. I incorporate the E340 flood lights, the S330 video doorbell, and the S380 homebase. Setup is very easy, the instructions are easy to follow, and customer support is very responsive if you have issues. The cameras have a myriad of options for motions sensing, light activation, time, detection range, and intesity. The doorbell has a "package" camera and will notify you at delivery if you like. The doorbell and camera audio options work very well and are clear and easy to use. I have one doorbell hardwired through the existing doorbell switch which was easy to setup and works great, the other doorbell I charge, the battery holds up as advertised at roughly 6 months per charge. Charging involvews removing the battery from the doorbell with the included pin that opens the doorbell. The smart AI type options that identify faces takes a while to work and still needs some additional development work but is not a required feature feature IMHO. I use a 1TB hard drive in the base which looks like it will hold over a year's worth of video data based on current usage after several months. Installation of the hard drive is straightforward and easy and formatted via a simple menu. Access throught the app is easy and works very well. I travel internationally and can always access both properties and make any adjustments on the fly from anywhere. These hold up great through weather and PA winters. I have never had a cold weather issue with them. The night vision works so well that I seldom have the flood lights enabled for night motion sensing. The only real difference is you get color with the flood light enabled and under night vision the scene is black and white. I do not use the solar cameras so cannot comment but if they work as well as everything else they should be exceptional. Very impressed with the design, quality, user interface, and flexibility of everything in the system.

love the expandable storage option, a lot
I love the expandable storage option, a lot. I hate that ring and other companies try and charge constantly for viewing security events. This comes with about 10GB of storage out of the box but is expandable for 16tb of storage! I was able to find a good 1tb storage drive for about $60 and that allows me to record 24/7 on some of my plugged in cameras. I will be replacing my doorbell soon with a Eufy!

Handy device to archive Eufy camera videos
While the setup is a bit tedious, and the first one of these I got was defective and had to go back, Eufy made good and replaced it immediately. I like the Eufy ecosystem as I don't have to have a cloud account and everything is stored locally.

Great setup for home security with local storage and no online fees
So far the new base 3 has worked very well. The added a I human detection, facial recognition and vehicle recognition have all been pretty cool. It's awesome that I can upgrade the storage to 16 TB, but the biggest drawback is that it only supports a 2 and 1/2 in hard drive. Most all surveillance hard drives for security systems are 3 and 1/2 in so you have to get a standard laptop. Hard drive to put in this and I'm not sure how that'll hold up long-term. All in all, this is a budget-friendly system that works well. Easy to set up and has local storage.

really satisfied with this product it does everything it says it’s gonna do it holds up a lot of a lot of space and I can always count on going back and be able to review the videos of things that I could’ve missed

AI is Not Intelligent
I originally started testing Wyze but a subscription is needed even though they’re advertised as not needing one. I wasn’t sure about Eufy and decided to give it a try. No subscription needed! The resolution on my cameras is far better than what I had with Wyze. Eufy is more expensive than Wyze but they offer pan/tilt/zoom, PTZ, cameras.so they cover more area. Wyze had an automation that is equivalent to Eufy’s schedule, although Wyze does it better. I believe there is a limit of three schedules with Eufy. However, Eufy is a true security system (although it’s on wi-fi), if the keypad is integrated.I purchased Eufy cameras that didn’t need HomeBase 3, but HB kept coming up in my research due to AI and automation. Automation is not the same as scheduling, Automation involves triggers and that’s part of a security system, not what I’m looking for. I can schedule on the cameras. With the AI, I loaded pics of family members and turned off the notifications if they were recognized. I received so many false alerts. This issue is a known issue since 2023. Also, the AI kept recognizing a statue of a dog as a pet. The cameras are supposed to have PIR so there shouldn’t be any alerts on things that don’t have heat. I repeatedly indicated it wasn’t a pet but a statue and that footage got uploaded. Apparently, the AI is at the company level and not in the HB.The HB has the capacity to run at 1 GBps, but it kept slowing the speed to 100 MBps. Throughout my troubleshooting I still couldn’t get the speed to increase and stay at 1 GBps. The Ethernet port speed on my gateway is 1 GBps and changing out the CAT 6 Ethernet cable made no difference. I don’t know if speed is an issue but the HB was not running at optimal speed. Again, this is another known issue that hasn’t been addressed.I added a 2 TB SSD to the HB for the continuous streaming of one camera. I already had 128 MB microSD cards in all cameras, but with a HB the recordings go to HB and not the cam. Given the cost of the HB and the SSD, I finally decided it wasn’t worth the money since it didn’t work like it was supposed to. I would have kept it if the AI actually learned and stopped giving false alerts.I do like the cameras and the resolution has been great and they work fine without HB.
