Le Creuset stainless steel kettle: Update - whistle dead!
Update: The whistle stopped working after a month. I expected better from Le Creuset. The Le Creuset stainless steel kettle is a top-notch, heavy-duty product that stands out from cheaper alternatives. Its compact size is perfect for keeping on the stove all the time, making it both practical and durable. The stainless-steel construction, both inside and out, ensures longevity and easy maintenance, with no ceramic materials involved—a feature that we prefer.Design and Build Quality-The kettle's compact design allows it to remain a permanent fixture on the stove without taking up too much space. The use of stainless steel for both the interior and exterior not only adds to its aesthetics and durability but also makes it easy to clean. Unlike ceramic kettles, this one does not require the delicate handling that ceramic materials often need.Durability-The robust stainless-steel construction means that this kettle is built to last. It is designed to withstand frequent use and is resistant to the typical wear and tear that comes with boiling water repeatedly. Additionally, it comes with a five-year warranty, further underscoring its long-term reliability.Practicality-Handle and Heat-The downside to any kettle is that the handle can get hot. Do not use this kettle on an oversized burner. The flames should not go beyond the base of the kettle. Do not let any kettle boil dry. It will permanently damage the kettle.Maintenance-To maintain the kettle’s quality, it is important to follow the instructions to drain it after each use. This practice helps to prevent scaling or rust, which are common issues with kettles if water is left inside.Conclusion-Overall, the Le Creuset stainless steel kettle’s solid construction and practical features make it a smart choice for anyone seeking a long-lasting kettle. Its combination of durability, easy maintenance, and a reliable whistle system ensures that it will serve well for many years beyond the warranty period. For those looking for a high-quality, reliable kettle, this product is an excellent investment.

The only kettle you will ever need!
Worth every penny spent. The kettle in our house is used multiple times daily and this one is so well made I can tell it will last for years. The base and sides are continuous so no leaking seams. The handle is a true "stay cool" material so no potholder needed even when the water is boiling. The whistle mechanism is simple with no pieces to fall out and can easily be switched to no-whistle mode with the flick of a thumb. The finish is lovely and seems to be chip-resistant so far. If you want a hard use kettle this is the one for you.

Quality and beauty
I’ve had it about a week. I make tea 1 to 2 times a day. The water boils quickly. It’s heavy duty so you can feel the weight but it’s easy to use. It is beautifully made. I absolutely love the color - Caribbean (my favorite part of the world too). It stands out on the stove. My couch is this color and I have big windows with views of Lake Michigan which is that color on a beautiful sunny day. Love it!

Very pretty pot, use it every day, quality should be a bit better
This looks very pretty up on the stove and I’ve been using it every morning for coffee or tea for several months now.The metal ring around the top of the pot (under the removable top) became loose in just a few weeks, so the paint around the ring has been damaged a little bit. Also it seems like the paint chips too easily, so I’ve got a few tiny chips on it just from accidentally banging it into another pan or pot while I move it around the stovetop or wherever.I’ve never run it through the dishwasher and only rarely wash the outside (since I don’t do anything to get it dirty). Also the pretty blue color (I believe Le Creuset calls this Marseilles blue) is not exactly the same as the blue of their butter dish I got which has the exact same color name. They really ought to be identical.Tthe metal in the removable top is quite thin, but the rest of it is pretty solid. No issues with getting burned by grabbing the button on the top or anything like that. The top handle can be pulled down in one direction, but not the other. The whistle works fine if you like the sound of whistles (I don’t, so I usually leave it pulled up)I’m glad I got it, but for $100 or so, the quality should be a little bit better.

Almost wonderful! - Edited: I wanted to love it. I hate it.
Super nice. Just spills a little when you pour it. My cheapie kettle before never spilled.EDIT: After months of really trying to like this kettle (bought it as a birthday gift for my wife), I’ve decided I hate it. It has burped boiling water all over my countertop too many times while we try to pour it. I even burned my hand once. I don’t want my daughter doing that. I know this kettle got great reviews from Wirecutter and such, but I’m switching back to my cheap stainless one that requires no thought. It just works. It never made a mess… ever. This one is pretty, but it is too much of a hassle, and I hate to say it, but it’s even a bit dangerous if you’re not super careful and the boiling-water gods aren’t on your side that day. ;)

What else can I say?
Our old tea kettle served us well but it developed some rust around the inside of the spout area. In order to avoid the possibility of consuming rust (at any level) we decided to invest in a new tea kettle. We were not sure about what product to acquire but we felt it needed to be of quality to hold-up to everyday use. We are not heavy tea drinkers but we do enjoy using high quality products when we can afford them. The Le Creuset tea kettle is amazing in every respect. It is enamel through and through and presents a pleasing appearance in our kitchen. The whistle is easily recognizable. Thus far, it serves all of our needs for brewing water for coffee or tea. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Not the best this brand has to offer
I love the color, but nothing special. Quality is okay but it doesn't seem as high as other le creuset products. I will stick with their stoneware and cast iron stuff, this really doesn't feel worth the price tag, unfortunately.
