Great idea, poor execution.At this price it's hard to complain. This router insert is almost finished, and can be finished by the user.1. Runners are only rounded on one end. Pulling the sled back causes the sharp corners of the back of the runners to dig into the track causing jerking motions. Easy fix. File the sharp corners.2. Holes in runners for provided bolts and wing nut are too small. Bolts won't fit. Easy fix. Drill Holes larger.3. Plastic insert for router bit is smaller than it's hole by almost 2mm, and shallower by almost 1mm. Slightly more difficult fix. With a 3D printer you could make a variety of inserts. You could also use this router plate to make new inserts.4. Tracks have sharp shoulders or edges. Easy fix. Quick buff with steel wool.5. There are a couple of extra holes on the surface that I cannot identify. They may be for hanging the piece when not in use. There's also 2 tracks/slots on the fence that could be used for something, but no bolts are provided for it. A little pamphlet with explanations could be useful, but would probably raise the price.All in all, not a bad little router insert. It can serve as a good platform to build upon.

This is a better version of a router table insert, which is left unpainted and the scales located to the far side of the fence. Although they may look nice, painted inserts can scuff easy and blemish the scales. Although showing a better quality, this insert is priced about the same as others, most likely due to the fence hardware. It is setup as a push-fence for slotting joinery. However, the fence should also lock and unlock and move freely in the track. To accomplish this you may need to modify or change the fence hardware. I decided to reshape the included hex screw (see photo) so that it can lock-and-unlock using the wingnut and still slide. A slotted washer can help improve the contact area on the underside of the track.

Plate came with scratches and swirl marks. Not acceptable for a new item
