Skeptical but gave it a go….better than the OEM
I had a need to replace my OEM garage door keypad from Liftmaster as the keypad had become non-responsive. This was the second time I needed to replace this in the 6 years since installation. In both instances the keypad had become less and less responsive over time. Before buying this unit I looked into the cost of the OEM replacement on Amazon and it was approximately $50. To me that was quite expensive especially as it appeared the unit wouldn’t last for that long. After a little research I opted for this unit based on >800 reviews and roughly 4.5 star rating. My experience of the install was great. Took me less than 5 minutes for the install including detachment of the defective old unit. I think the instructions were pretty clear. In my case on my Liftmaster motor unit on the garage ceiling there was a “learn” button that had to be pressed following activation of the new keypad. I found this process to take no more than 30 seconds and the unit was paired. I then lifted the front panel of the old defunct unit and removed the battery and unscrewed it to allow detachment from the frame of my garage door. I took the new unit that is previously paired, removed the battery then situated in exactly the same manner as the non functioning old unit. I found that the alignment was perfect so I just used the OEM screw id previously removed to screw the new unit to the garage door frame l, put the battery back in, cover back on and then entered my passcode to test door closure then pressed enter again to reopen. The unit worked perfectly. In terms of quality I’d say the plastic gauge is thicker than the original and feels high quality. I personally think it will be as robust as the original if not more so. A feature that I think is a big improvement over the original is that when the code is entered there is an audible beep sound, on the OEM you don’t hear this so the keys I think get pressed harder “to be sure” that the keys are activated and I think that this in turn leads to the keypad failing over time. As consequence I think the ability to hear a key being pressed will actually contribute to the longevity of this unit. The keypad is also backlit but instead of a yellow backlighting this units is redder and I think easier to see in the bright sunshine as well as at night.Overall I’m very pleased I didn’t spend the extra $30 for the OEM and think this a better value and an improvement on that. If this unit lasts only 3 years like the OEM as at $20 it’s a bargain; I’d say though that I’m optimistic it’ll last for at least five if not more. A good buy folks….highly recommend.

Flawless Install with a 2008 Craftsman (Red Sync Button)
I spent over 2 hrs trying to program my old Craftsman exterior garage panel and failed miserably. It would not sync to save but life.I bought this item and got it working in 5min. It flawlessly synced with my 2008 Red-Button Craftsman with ease and almost mounted directly into the old wall fitting. 100% a great value for your money, adds secure access to your garage, and has a durable material build.Definitely worth the money and a must-try!

Easy to install - no issues!
Moved into a rental complex that did not provide a keypad which was extremely inconvenient. Decided to try the generic keypad before purchasing the name brand because it was much less expensive and could be delivered same day. It was very easy to set up. I was able to create a code Fairly simply with no issues at all connecting to my power lift machine. Then we were able to attach the keypad using the adhesive since it’s a rental. If it falls off, we will mount it with a screw. The only downside is you have to enter the code and press enter to close the garage. You cannot just press enter. But from my understanding, this was the same on the name brand keypad as well so for a third of the cost, in a rental community, this is a no-brainer and it comes with batteries. Easy to install and easy to operate. Definitely recommend.

Bad instructions.
The instructions are awful. The instructions start at the very top of the page and then go to number one. Otherwise you will never get it to work. Works fine once you understand the instructions.

Great garage key pad - for lift master
Great replacement for name brand garage door key pad. Using for lift master garage door opener. The buttons on my original lift master key pad stopped registering after 15 years of heavy use. Had a hard time paying $50+ for the name brand key pad.Thought I would try this based on the price. Comes with a 9V battery. Easy to program. Buttons have audio when pressed which is a nice feature. Key pad is also backlit when pressed. Works great. Only difference from my previous name brand is that you have to enter the code and press enter to close garage door when leaving. Name brand model you only press enter without code.Lastly, the holes for the screws for mounting matched perfectly from previous key pad. Made mounting the key pad very easy. Includes hardware for mounting if this I tour first keypad.Highly recommended.

Works great. Easy to Install and Program.
Really easy to install and program with my Liftmaster opener. Just works. Price is realistic for what it is. Battery has been going strong.

"Ghost" openings
After waiting one more week, I found the we still have ghost openings, Since the keypad has been disconnected, it is obviously not the problem. And you have offered a full refund, which I cannot accept since the keypad is not at fault. Thank you. After about 1 month of use, we began having "ghost" garage door openings. I initially changed the battery. Then I reset all the remotes to the garage door opener, including this keypad remote. We were still experiencing "ghost" openings almost every day. I finally removed the keypad totally. No more ghost openings. I am not pleased. I have spent lots of time trying to make this work, but have had no success. I must mention that the keypad worked well for the first few weeks or so. Also, that it appears to be well made. The installation instructions are also good. However, I cannot use it. I must now find another keypad that will work.
