Pretty good marmalade but lousy instructions
Claim made in 30 minutes but even the instructions ...if you can read them so badly printed on tin...argue against that, allow couple of hours. Still okay, but when can a jar be eaten? - no indication. Following day/week?Best marmalade you've ever had if you've led a quiet life but inspires drools from many lips. No shop bought stuff holds a candle or an orange rind.

Thick cut marmalade, made easy
My mother loves thick cut marmalade. She also loves to moan that she can't buy any "proper" thick cut marmalade in the shops. I love her very much; but not enough to make marmalade from scratch. I opted for this method instead. It has stopped her moaning. And for that, I am eternally grateful. She also says that my marmalade tastes pretty good. So, I think that's a thumb's up.I'm not a great cook. I followed the clear instructions on the tin and got several jam jars full of what was apparently tasty marmalade. So I'm happy.

Yummy, yummy, yummy
I am about to order this for the third time, so while I'm on the page I'll tell you why.1. I don't like the additives in shop bought marmalade. Most of it seems to be in the Highly Processed Food (i.e. bad) category whan you read the label.2. I do love marmalade, although I don't eat it all that often, because I don't want to get any fatter than I already am. Therefore this batch will last me a year, as the last one did. And the last jar was as good as the first too.3. I like my food to be as healthy as possible without losing the deliciousness. With this I can choose not to have my marmalade full of white sugar, and can use Billington's raw Demerara sugar instead. Even more deliciousness too!4. It smells wonderful when it is cooking, and gives me a pleasant (and very rare) feeling of being good domestically.5. I get to scrape out the pan once I have filled the jars, and enjoy the first piece of toast with it. To the person who asked how long you have to leave it before you eat it - it is supposed to cool to room temperature, else you can burn your tongue, and it will be runny.6. I had to buy a big enough pan for making my own marmalade. I got one with a lid from a place called Secondhand World for a bargain price. Although it is not used often, it is good for making batch meals for the freezer, such as soups and stews, so this was a bonus you don't get with supermarket marmalade.7. Decent marmalade is getting to be a silly price to buy. This is tastier and cheaper, even with the luxury sugar.
