Organic Stevia Powder 250g by Natures Root

Nice product, nice with caco powder as it balances the strong flavour and smell

Very sweet and good alternative to sugar but it has a bitter aftertaste and is quite strong. Would be nice that it specified that on the label.

This is made from stevia leaf, which is not apparent anywhere in the description or images of the product package. Unlike stevia extract, which is what I was looking for and thought I was buying, this powder is green, smells like freshly mown grass, and tastes like you might imagine freshly mown grass tastes. It is sweet, but the plant taste is always there. Also, unlike stevia extract, it contains a small amount of sugar, which I infer is natural, but again, not what I expected or wanted.

This looks real plant based natural sweetener, don’t mind the colour.

Packaging damaged but a refund was issued. I was able to use a small amount of what remained and it works well for sweetening stewed apples etc as I cannot have sugar.

By the time I came to look closely at this it was too late to send it back, as the eat-by only gave me two or three months to consume it, not the usual year, like other brands I've used, and the packet was leaking, meaning it wasn't sealed properly anyway and could well be off already. What a waste of a lot of money!

Not very happy about it and I wish I had bought just a small packet to try it out. The positive side is that it'll last for a long, long time since it's much sweeter than other sweeteners of the same type. 2 things I don't like about it: 1) it's green and makes your smoothie looks just horrible; 2) it feels like there are small grains of sand in - maybe there are since it's a root. I won't buy it again.
