Good but basic
If you want really basic poses this is for you. I personally was hoping for more dynamic poses.

Excellent reference book
I use this book when I’m doing either prep or on the field during a photo session. It is so helpful. I just wish there were more pages, but it’s worth it because there’s so much. Maybe I’m being greedy.

Get the industry's professional posing secrets !
I will have to make a comparison with Lindsay's Adler The photographer's guide to posing techniques to flatter everyone.I you buy only one book of posing than I recommend you buying Lindsay's Adler book,in my opinion it is the bible of posing books. But if you want to work for advertisement industry,or get almost unlimited knowledge about posing tricks and how to build poses to convey all you ever wanted this book is really amazing. It is based on many years of experience. It is not technical for the photographer in terms of :what lens/aperture to use and so on(which you can find at Lindsay's book).I found the pictures less better than Lindsay's:example model's eyes were not lit, grainier, smaller, not all are as polished, with undisturbed clean line, for example badly cropped or obstructed jawline-which is sometimes justified by the purpose of accentuating intentions. On the good side it is concise, stating very clearly the ideas. All in all there is so much to learn,in that side it is a good investment.

Fuel your imagination
The book is a great source of inspiration for photographers at any stage of their craft. The huge number of poses are a great framework for further experimentation based on suggestions provided. My portrait photography has progressed as a direct result of reading this fine tome. And, yes, the author has the audacity to suggest that genders exist, a suggestion that has fanned the flames of relativism by other reviewers. I don't mind at all.

Very well laid out and written!
This book gave me all the information I needed to supply my knowledge of posing clients. I found it to be very well written and the images were most helpful. The author was very adept at explaining the why and how of each pose and the book was extremely well laid out, succinct and to the point. Surpassed my expectations!

A must have for beginners
I adore this book. I like to direct my model on how to pose. I like to be organic but some times when I get stuck this book really helps. I take it to every shoot. It covers most events, but would love if there was a sequel or more content.
