My mom is Italian and grew up eating lupini beans. These are exactly like she remembers them; she LOVES them. (I do, too, but wouldn't necessarily know the difference between good and bad.) It's nice to have the beans ready-to-eat (we eat them as a snack) and they're really healthy for you, too! (Exceptionally high in protein.) Mom can pop those babies out of their skins like a real pro!!! Two thumbs up.

I need to weigh whether or not to consume this item, as delivered. The jar's lid was not properly sealed, had a smallish dent around the rim, and had accordingly come loose -- or was loosened, etc. on shipping -- so that about 1/3 of the brine leaked thru the enclosing bubble wrap. Should I be glad that the other, quite large item in this shipment was not damaged by the leakage? The Return/Replace page does not allow me the option of requesting a replacement, and I am too busy, practically, to see if returning this item is even an option. (I suspect that it is not.) As I write, I am too disappointed to decide what to do next.ADDENDUM: I decided to risk eating the lupini, WHICH RISK I ABSOLUTELY DISCOURAGE ANYONE TO TAKE. Had the jar arrived intact and properly sealed, I would rate the foodstuff highly. "Fair is fair."

I remember my mom making this snack from scratch when I was growing up. It’s nice to know I can just buy this and think about my childhood.

To eat. Again, too salty and genetically modified.

Man I didn't know about lupini beans. Bought this, drained some and seasoned with salt, pepper and splash of vinegar. Love it.

I bought these since I haven't had them since I was much younger. Unfortunately, I found these to have a bit too much of a chlorine taste.

Unlike the picture in the listing, my beans are sitting in cloudy liquid, almost like there are floating tiny mold particles in the water. Taste was also bad (rancid), but this could have been greatly influenced by my impression of the water they were sitting in.Reading other reviews it is obvious that this company has an issue with quality control. Wish I had read them first.

I read about these as being a healthy snack so I tried them. They are delicious. It’s like eating a bowl of olives and mixed nuts combined.
