This is an attractive set of this ancient game. UR is a simple game that holds appeal as the first or one of the first games ever. This delightful version of the game is rendered with an elegant cloth map and charming pieces for this all-ages board game. The strategy in the game is pretty simple, but it's still a compelling experience in its historical context. It all fits into a strong cloth bag, too.The only knock against this edition is that the game rules contain a lot of typos and are less than clear. Technically, there is no official set of rules for UR, we can only assume from historical records about the rules themselves, but it's easy to find a rules set online. The game is fun as a small race game and the quality of these components are really wonderful. The wooden pieces are weighty and feel good in the hand.

I particularly love how portable this game is - just pop it in the included bag and go. The game does take some strategy, but it's easy enough to pick up and play quickly. This version of the board can be set up just about anywhere since it's cloth. However, you will have to find a reasonable surface to roll the dice on. I work with kids, and this has made an excellent game to take different places. I'm completely happy with it and can recommend it for sure.

The cloth and pieces make this seem a bit more "authentic" than a pure plastic set would be; this really adds to the ambiance in a great way for such an ancient game. The game itself - feels like one that everyone ought to have (up there with chess, checkers, etc.) even if they don't get played often. Well made set. Recommend.

This is a nice, budget introduction to this game for someone who isn't super familiar with it. The quality of the fabric board and other elements is pretty nice, but it's definitely not going to rival a real set with a wooden board and looks a tad sloppy on the game shelf in the cloth storage pouch. That said, it's easy to play and set up and ideal for traveling since it compacts easily and you don't have to worry about bending or tearing cardboard/wood/paper elements in transit. This is a really neat game with a lot of history and would be a great stocking stuffer for the game or history lovers you know. Very fun!

We are just learning how to play this ancient game! Part of the entertainment of this game is the fact people were playing it thousands of years ago. It is pretty neat to be thinking about this. The board/cloth is well made and vibrantly colored. All of the pieces are well made. We ordered this game for playing with our friends on game night or while we are on the road camping. Can't wait to become proficient in this interesting game!

I really enjoy these classic games. This set is simple, with a cloth board and wooden dice and game pieces. It's easy to learn and is a very basic game to play. The price is good for a cloth and wood game, but it doesn't come with a game box.
